Gary L. Wilmot

Gary is a Partner and has extensive experience in construction law and litigation, the development of aviation risk management plans, and accident response plans. He has assisted many operators surrounding airport liability, premises liability, hangarkeepers liability, and products liability.

Gary has a thorough understanding of FAA regulations and has been involved in aircraft accident investigations, as well as airmen and medical certificate appeals and hearings. In addition, Gary has worked with flight departments to ensure they operate with adequate types of insurance coverage.

Along with construction and aviation, Gary has been involved in defending claims made under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Unruh Act in California. He’s lectured on the Americans with Disabilities Act and California Disabled Persons Act and has instructed Business Law at National University, San Diego.

Gary focuses his practice in the areas of construction law, civil litigation, and aviation law; which includes the development of risk management plans for corporate aviation departments, charter operations, flight schools, and FBOs, airman certificate defense, medical certificate defense, accident response plans, accident/incident litigation, aircraft purchase, personal injury defense, Alcohol Beverage Control Law, ADA claim defense, and business litigation.

He is part of the California Bar Association, San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum, and is a past member of the Military Action Committee.
